Tarps Direct offers two styles of replacement tarps for many single peak units other than Harpster Canopies. Our replacement tarps are made of a heavy duty 6 ounce polyethylene that is waterproof, mildew proof and tear resistant. The tarps recommended below are 11-12 mil thick with a weave count of 14 x 14 per square inch. Grommets are provided approximately every 18 inches apart with reinforced grommets in the corners to help obtain a snug fit to the framework.
Colors available for WITHIN THE FRAME tops: Solid Silver and White. Limited sizes are available in Blue/White, Green/White and Red/White stripe.
NOTE: Silver tops block the sunlight. Underneath your canopy will be cooler and slightly darker than with the White or Striped tops which allows sunlight to penetrate through. In parts of the USA that experience more frequent sunny days, the silver top is recommended as it also have a better built in UV protection (due to the nature of the color) which will add life to the tarp.
Please note tarps are listed as a cut size - finish size is 6" or 3%-5% smaller.
MEASURING FOR YOUR REPLACEMENT TOP:
To optimize the life of the top tarp, a proper fit is imperative. The tarp should measure approximately 6" smaller than the total measurement of your roof frame from side to side (up over the roof peak) as well as from front to back so that when bungies are used to attach the tarp to the frame; a snug fit is achieved. Please refer to the diagram below on how to measure your unit to make sure you are getting the best fit possible.
Instructions for an optimum fit: Measure from the inside of the side roof rail (1) up over the roof peak (2) and down to the inside of the side roof rail (3) on the other side. For example: on a 10' x 10' unit this measurement is normally close to 12'. Measure from the inside of the front rail (4) to the inside of the back rail (5) to obtain your other measurement. For example: on a 10' x 10' unit this should measure close to 10'. The tarp you would need to order would be a 10' x 12' tarp.
